GENS NANO 2010
Together with the key stakeholders in this sector, GENS is developing a set of standards for the application of nano-services and the evaluation of building health.
Building on the success of certification programs such as those from the International Organization for Standards (ISO), NANO 2010 will certify applicants on their use of available and viable nanotechnologies to support:
- Healthy human and natural environments
- Safe buildings with low operating costs and extended asset life
NANO 2010 will also provide product and methodology standards for distributors and service providers for an expanding list of commonly used nano-services.
Over the course of developing NANO 2010, GENS will be working with a number of key stakeholders, including:
- Nanotechnology Researchers, Suppliers and Distributors
- National and International Health Organizations
- National, Provincial and Municipal Governments
- Leading Industrial and Manufacturing companies
- Leading Retailers and Commercial Organizations
- Leading Property Developers and Landlords
- Professional Associations and Trade Unions
- Public Health and Consumer Advocacy Groups
NANO 2010 will be supervised by an independent group drawn from these stakeholders and open to public participation.
